The Emoji Movie has been a very interesting project - a project that has lent itself to experimentation, deployment, and approval of some new texture tools in our pipeline. I used the Emoji Movie as a test bed for bringing Substance Painter and Substance Designer into SPI. There's challenges that go along with changing any workflow and process at a studio as big as Imageworks. I met these challenges head-on and am incredibly proud of the work we're doing on The Emoji Movie.
